In 1941 the three-masted composite bark fought her way through rough storms in the Baltic. Seeking shelter from the fierce winds she was navigated in through the waters behind the lighthouse of Lågskär. All of a sudden Sverre ran aground and heeled over. While she was lost all the men were rescued by the lighthouse pilots.
She can now be found on 63-70 metres, broken amidships but with all the interior details to be seen as the ship was located as recently as 2002 by local divers. This is world class diving for the experienced trimix diver!
